There are sea views from every room, and you can sit up in bed and see the sea and beach through two windows, from which rare birds (such as chough, peregrines and divers) have been spotted, and even the occasional seal. Sleep comes easily, helped by the gentle sound of lapping waves and the top quality, comfortable bed, which can be a super-king size, double or 3ft twins. The cottage, which has been renovated, is furnished to a high standard and beautifully decorated with traditional, soft, warm shades. There are fitted carpets throughout, night-storage heaters, three fan heaters, electric blankets and a large ingle-nook fireplace with an electric “log-burner” – all designed to help keep you warm and cosy whatever the weather.
The cottage is comprehensively equipped and no detail for your comfort is overlooked, from the carefully planned lighting to the immaculate cleanliness. Bed linin, bathroom towels and fresh flowers are all provided. The owner, Caroline Potter, lives in the attached house and is on hand to help with local knowledge and itineraries, if required. The coast path runs along the road past the cottage, and a superb cliff path walk around the Dale Peninsula (7 miles) can be undertaken from the front door. There is a sunny terrace full of scented flower in summer, garden furniture and an adjacent conservatory. OS maps of the National Park and lots of other information are also provided. The village pub, at which meals are available, is just a short walk away. For those interested in activities on the water, a reputable sailing and windsurfing school is based a few hundred yards away, and Dale bay is very sheltered.

Suitable for walkers, windsurfers, sailors, bird enthusiasts, cyclists, explorers and sun worshipers. The appreciation of those who come is shown by the high percentage who book time and time again. It is, without doubt, one of the best holiday cottages for two in Pembrokeshire.
